Exploring marine microbes at molecular, cellular, and ocean scales

We are a curiosity-driven group working at the intersection of cell biology, microbial oceanography, and biogeochemistry. Our Lab investigates the molecular processes that drive marine microbial metabolism and characterizes how these processes shape broad biogeochemical cycles.  We develop and use a combination of cutting-edge subcellular proteomics, metaproteomics, physiology, and rate measurements.

We believe science and discovery should be, and could be, accessible to anyone, anywhere. Our Lab is committed to using Frugal Science tools and open-source software whenever possible. Our code is publicly available on GitHub and our protocols are accessible on protocols.io. We deposit our data in relevant public repositories.
